New Delhi: The Indian Women Press Corps on Saturday urged the government to take an empathetic view of the issues raised by the protesting women wrestlers demanding a probe against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment. In a statement, the IWPC said it stands in solidarity with the women wrestlers. It also deplored any form of harassment and sexual exploita stanley cupe tion of women sportspersons. These women wrestlers have made our country proud and have been sitting on protest fo stanley cup r several days now. As women sports professionals, they need to be supported and encouraged, it said.
